Don't you recognize the Beast within the man?

Prince Adam, at your service.

I'm also called Jesse St. James. I work at Disney World as a part-time choreographer (And I certainly earn my pay), as well as appearing as Beauty and the Beast's Prince Adam. That's Beast, for those who weren't aware.

My future on Broadway is inevitable, but for now I've no problem being a real-life prince. There's not many of us left, after all ;)

[This roleplay is not affiliated with Disney, Beauty and the Beast, Fox or Glee. It is by fans, for fans. Thank you.]

Jesse and Blaine | First Impressions

princeanderic:

The fact that the other man said nothing back to him, and even worse that he laughed made anger bubble up inside of Blaine like nothing else had in quite some time. Who did this guy think that he was? It was Blaine’s first day, he was a fellow worker; weren’t they supposed to be supportive of one another at Disney? A team? Surely his rude acquaintance hadn’t gotten that memo, and Blaine couldn’t help but dread the next time they’d be alone in the same room. Or just the next time Blaine would have to see him; he wanted nothing to do with the other man.

Unfortunately, life was not that kind. There was a mandatory meeting scheduled in the staff room that all of the face actors had to attend. And Blaine knew that despite the fact that the other man was incredibly arrogant, that he’d probably be punctual and show up.

However, what Blaine was not expecting was having to sit next to him. It was the only free chair in the entire staff room and he almost resolved to simply stand for the whole meeting, but several pairs of eyes were watching him, waiting for him to make a move, so with a heavy inward sigh, he settled into the chair beside the other man and folded his hands in his lap, jaw set.

It’d been easy to ignore him as the meeting began- Jesse was too accustomed at ignoring just about everyone. It wasn’t so much that he disliked his co-workers; He simply found no use in paying much mind to them, not when there was work to be done. Besides, years of working at the parks (and with lacking fools like Hudson) had left him far too clear on the realities behind the “magic”, and more amused in a rueful sort of way than anything else.

Still, seeing as he’d heard this introductory speech far too many times over the past few years, Jesse quietly observed the different faces in the room. Hummel over in the far end, with a characteristically uptight frown on his face. He was attractive, but far too up-wound for Jesse’s tastes, and it was probably because of that they’d never gotten long. Santana, who’d only started months before and was regularly made to switch between Pocahontas and Jasmine, characteristically standing next to Brittany. Her obvious affections for the other girl were widely known- yet, Jesse supposed, if she ever wanted to make her move she’d do so at her own pace. It wasn’t like it was his business, in any case.

A sharp stab in the heart followed his path as his eyes found Rachel’s face. She and Hudson were pressed close, hands firmly clasped and sneaking loving gazes that made Jesse want to heave. What she possibly saw in him was beyond him; Hudson was infamous amongst the park choreographers and show organizers for his ability to blunder even the simplest of moves, and of the time he’d heard him sing Jesse found his abilities lacking.

Truthfully, however, he found Finn entirely lacking. Turning away from ‘Finchel’ at the sign of movement next to him, Jesse respectfully clapped as Blaine was called forward to introduce himself, thoughts thankfully distracted as he smirked and watched the newcomer.

A little girl today told me that I was more beautiful as Belle in human form than in cartoon!

As flawless as your renditions would have unarguably been, I think it’d be lost on her. Little kid and all.

Still, Anyone who knows you has no doubts of your endless talent, Rachel.

Well, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, children do not know, understand, or appreciate true talent when they see it.

But thank you, Jesse.  Flattering as always!  You just might be one of my biggest fans, you know.

Of course not. They need to be trained first, to truly comprehend what they are experiencing.

I may be your biggest. I hope you don’t mind, of course.

Jesse and Blaine | First Impressions

From the other man’s initial silence, Blaine could tell that his words must have stung. Good. Blaine wasn’t a mean person; in fact, he was usually always friendly, sometimes too friendly, but not this time. He refused to let his new acquaintance of sorts to get the better of him. Blaine wouldn’t give him that kind of satisfaction.

And just when he thought that maybe he had the last word and that the other man would just waltz out of the locker room with his head held high and proud, he spoke again.

Attentive to facts? Right. Blaine snorted out a laugh at that. Yeah, perhaps he was short, but who did this man think he was, pointing this out and using it as an insult? Especially considering that he had to be a co-worker of his.

“Well, then I guess I am not too surprised you work here, then,” Blaine shot back, knowing that his insult wasn’t really…much of one, since he didn’t deflect the other man’s insult in the process, but Blaine was too angry to care.

Had Jesse bothered to linger, he might’ve turned and stared- might have seen the glare from the other man, the anger in that gaze that seemed too oddly and discomfortingly familiar. He might have even realized the disconcerting way that this new-comer’s hair shined the same color as hers in the weak sunlight streaming through the locker room, or the determined set of his jaw mirroring hers.

But he didn’t. Instead, he heard the retort as he rounded the hallway, muffled and yet- still angry. Instead of finding an angry response to what was obviously an insult (lacking as it was), Jesse surprised himself for a moment as he responded with a laugh- loud, amused, and completely smug before entering the next room, oddly cheerful as his hands went to his pockets and he went to join the staff room.

This was going to be fun.
